High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters have been used in aerospace, pharmaceutical drug development, photographic film manufacturing, data processing, micro circuitry manufacturing, and medical facilities since the 1950’s.
This air purifier technology is capable of removing smoke, dust, pollen, dander and other allergy causing particulates as small as 0.3 microns from the air. Troublesome airborne particulate matter, such as PM2.5 and PM10, are no match for our HEPA filter.
There are many pleated filters on the market but to obtain at least a 99.97% retention rate and remove particles as small as .3 microns, you need a HEPA filter.
To help extend HEPA filter life, the iAdaptAir™ comes with a washable powder coated dust guard to trap larger particles before the air enters the HEPA filter.
Carbon air filtration has been used for more than a century to absorb vapors, odors and volatile organic compounds from the air. This trusted technology is used in water purification, air filtration, industrial gas processing, respirator masks, medical facilities, pharmaceutical development, astronaut suites and more.
Carbon filters purify the air by absorbing VOCs and odors within the pore structure of the carbon. One pound of activated carbon contains the surface area of approximately 100 acres. With up to 2.8 pounds of carbon, the iAdaptAir® contains approximately 280 acres of carbon surface area to tackle even the strongest pollutants.
Advanced Hydrated Photocatalytic Oxidation (AHPCO®) is based on a combination of NASA's and our R&D team's research.
We took the original NASA-developed technology a few steps further to create our nano AHPCO™ air purifier technology. It doesn’t filter the air; it oxidizes and destroys pollutants on a molecular level by shining a UVGI light on our proprietary nano catalyst surface. It destroys pollutants 1000 times smaller than HEPA filters. Any tiny mycotoxins, mold, bacteria, viruses and VOCs that survive the HEPA and carbon filter stages of iAdaptAir® are quickly deactivated by our AHPCO™ and our broad-spectrum UV lamp.
For decades negative ionizers have been sold as air purifiers. They are effective against airborne particulates, VOCs and germs. They also have some not-so-pleasant side effects. Negative ionizers typically produce ozone and static electricity that causes a symptom called black wall syndrome. They also require larger outdated modules to produce the ions. Our proprietary Bi-Polar ionization provides all the benefits of negative ionizers in a small compact package without the negative effects. Bi-Polar ionization splits humidity, already present in your air, into positive hydrogen ions and negative oxygen ions without the production of ozone. These ions then go beyond the boundaries of filtration to seek out and destroy pollutants such as mold, bacteria, viruses and VOCs on a molecular level. This occurs both in the air and on surfaces throughout the space being treated by these ions. The positive and negative ions also cluster around the smallest microscopic particles, causing them to become too heavy to float and drop from the air. This effect even occurs in spaces with stale air that is not circulated through the HEPA and carbon filters.
Third-party lab tested to reduce up to 99.99% of H1N1 Influenza virus, bacteria, mold, mycotoxins, and VOCs in 20 minutes or less.
Recommended for use by physicians across the United States to reduce allergy causing pollutants and for patients suffering from the effects of chronic hypersensitivities to mold, chemicals and mycotoxins.
The smart mode works in conjunction with an IAQ sensor to automatically adjust fan speed to adapt to air pollution levels. This ensures you're breathing fresh air while extending filter life. An auto-off setting on the control panel and a scheduler in the smart phone app optimize filter usage, extending filter cartridge life and reducing energy consumption. iAdaptAir® automatically determines the optimal time to replace its filter cartridge by constantly measuring pollutant levels, fan speed and run time. The phone app and indicator on the control panel keep you continually updated on filter status. The iAdaptAir® purifier only uses 12-48 Watts of electricity.
The phone app allows for the control of multiple iAdaptAir® purifiers in multiple locations from anywhere in the world. The app scheduler sets what time iAdaptAir® turns on and off each day. The controls include fan speed, child lock/night mode (turns off lights for restful sleep), auto-off timer and more. It even displays the current air quality surrounding your iAdaptAir®, so you can remotely adjust the settings before returning home. You may even share control of your air purifier with other friends and family members.
By utilizing up to four small ultra-quiet fans, the iAdaptAir® efficiently pulls air evenly across the entire surface of the filter cartridge and through all five layers of our advanced air purification technologies.
The unique array of fans maintain whisper-quiet noise levels from 25dB to 52dB, resulting in an air purifier so quiet you will hardly notice it.
